Shuka with bad lighting can look old as fuck too. and Shuka without makeup looks a lot more normal too. Shuka is still a big cute, but they are humans and they look human. except for Rkk, she looks ridiculous pretty even with no / minimal makeup.

while getting angry at the DVD encoding and the smpte I forgot to make the actual point I wanted to make!

4k is a bit of a general term, but the 16:9 standard 3840x2160 pixel video resolution that is generally referred to as 4k is only around 8 Megapixel. it's noticeably more video resolution than the 2,5 Megapixel of 1920x1080 pixel. so everything would look sharper, but you probably wouldn't see much difference with how much makeup they wear. I would still appreciate the increase in sharpness and resolution though, more is always better!

the biggest benefit would come from the making of videos of the Lives, as Aqours doesn't wear full stage makeup during the training sessions. those are already recorded on dslr/dslm that almond certainly can record 4k though. they seem to be using some kind of Sony A7 (I strongly assume, due to the red Bajonett mount). ironically 4k would have made it a lot easier to recognize the cameras used. but they already have the necessary cameras to film 4k in a beautiful high quality codec. I guess it's just not worth it.

Anyway, judging by the making of material Shukas skin looks like a moon landscape, the rest seems to have pretty normal skin and Anchan and Rikako have some might flawless skin. so give me all the 4k Anchan!
