The protagonist's name is Grayson Cole, age 23, and the story takes place in a fictional American city called Hometown, California in the year 2020. Monster girls, or 'parahumans' were introduced to the world in 2000 and are still adapting to joining the rest of the world.

Hometown has a population of a little over 3 million, and roughly a third are parahuman. The protagonist meets each member of the main lineup at an annual festival hosted by the city, and all of them live and work within the city.

Their Canon Names are confirmed and locked in. These will not be changed.
