Denying what we have seen so far as a forgery is a waste. I prefer the idea of the cast working together to avoid a known cruel fate by adding all sorts of red herrings and embellishments to the story. I also trust Keiichi, Rena, Mion, Shion, Rika, Satoko, Satoshi, and the rest! We simply haven't seen the meta side of the story yet. There was clearly more going on between the characters that wasn't shown in Gou or Sotsu. Keiichi is a guy with a sad past who cares about his new friends, not a ridiculous mass-murderer, boring NPC, disgusting rapist, secret villain mastermind, or whatever the idea of the week is. Rena is not a heartless whore or a cult member. Mion isn't a manipulative tranny who uses humans as pawns. Shion isn't a murderer who would ride the cock carousel while Satoshi isn't around. Rika isn't just a dumb useless meeper or an evil witch. Satoko isn't a psychopathic murderer and never committed incest. Ooishi and Akasaka aren't pedophiles. Etc. Plus it's more fun to try to spin the story as positively as possible, finding tricky ways for the characters to survive. It's easy to imagine them as traitors and killers, but that's what the script wants you to think. Try looking at it from Battler's perspective. Would he give up on Natsuhi?

Forget Battler, Natsuhi was the one with the brown-red hair gradient!
