I'm surprised nobody's pointed this out in the last few threads, but maybe it's obvious. The reason she possessed Nitori was to make a bomb. The explosion that happens in the Genbu ravine foreshadows this. If you look at the device she's working on, there's the obvious skull, but the kanji below it also denotes "calamity" or "disaster".

I imagine whatever she's planning to do involves setting up all the youkai in one place to pop off some anti-youkai bomb or something.
