Okay... here's my thought for harvest moon with Touhou fairies:

1: It is like Elona, but more cruel. It wouldn't REALLY be cruel, you just flop out and respawn like it's quake. But you will be beaten by nearly everything you know of at one point or another.

2: You start out with absolutely_nothing. It's like Terminator 2, you spawn naked on the ground in the rain and you need to steal your first pair of clothing.

3: Nearly everything you have, especially in the beginning of your adventure, will come from theft. Humans will be eager to punish you, they'll be stronger than you, and they will have zero hesitation to harming you because they know you're a fairy.

4: Power in nature doesn't come naturally to you, you need to slowly earn it over time like a martial artist earning impressive expertise. You will also be left defenseless against nature and the seasons, you will be left suffering unless you work hard to shelter yourself.

5: The object of the game is simply to better your life; stop getting killed so much, have a place to live with food to eat, find love from other fairies and tolerance from humans. The game would be an open-ended sandbox but objectively 'end' when the player is no longer in perpetual struggle and suffering.
