I get the impression that despite her being in the demo, Seiran's arc was probably an afterthought. She barely links up with any of the big characters except for Saki and Enoko, and even in their case, her plot is entirely irrelevant to the incident as a whole. We don't really learn much new about her and we don't really learn anything about the incident as a whole in her route, then her ending leaves most of the interesting details vague like where she wanted to live, or why she was so insistent on using the jewel to achieve it when she also says that she's fine with the impurities of earth in the same route
add the lack of a ringo appearance outside of a vague reference by sanae in vs mode, and a reference to reisen if you win a seiran mirror match and ran recommending she go to the bamboo forest of the lost to find reisen if ran wins in vs mode, there's just not much to her story
I really wonder why ZUN added her. her character is more or less the same by the end as it was at the start. much as I love her, she feels like a wasted slot and someone like kagerou or shou could have taken it and probably had more to do with the story
