Last penpal thread died (picture unrelated)

Have you had a penpal? I'm currently thinking about getting one. Let's start a discussion.

One anon was making a guide, let's hope he will show up in this thread as well.

>Kyaa these skirts are so short
>Moe moe Tsundere!
>Delicious flat chest (´・ω・)つ|・・|

Enough of this shit.
Can't you see why Japan does all this?
it's because their women are bland, boring and flat. With personalities as flat as their looks it's no wonder Japan tries so hard to make their women look better at the face of western society.

Wake up /jp/.
Flat chest is not good.
Flat chest is not delicious.

You are all just being manipulated by these disgusting mutant zipperheads.

I just fapped to 3D.
I feel... dirty.

On top of that, I got started thinking maybe I'd have sex. And so I signed up to this 3D matchmaking site where you have to go through all this bullshit to make your profile. Now my dummy email address is full of desperate girls who I think systematically send invites to everyone in hopes of catching someone. These are girls in my neighborhood.

I'm scared, Anonymous. Make them go away.

Yeah, guess what? I've been studying that major for the last six years - have made two stays in Japan, once in Kyoto and once in Tokyo, have certainly got into some Japanese girls (The average need to be at least 35 to do more than just lying on the bed and squealing once you squeeze them.) and actually, there are still a few Japanese friends remaining - even though or maybe just because I'm plain honest about my impression of that fucked-up country.

Now, I've always had difficulties to explain why I chose those studies (which was probably a interest mix of manga, ninja & samurai and Japanese electronics) in the first place, but recently, I've even grown sick of explaining Japan itself: Whenever people say that Japanese appear to them like "worker ants", "robots", "perverts" or "pedophiles", I could refer to compensation systems, corporate culture, low productivity, low wages and high peer competition in economics, an outdated constitution, lack of political reforms, loop-holes in laws and censorship, a centralized education system prone to political quarrels or a society rather based on implicit social norms maintained and controlled through strong cohesion than rights and duties - but in the end, I realized that those are all really just system-consistent explanations which ultimately, may try relativize moving the focus from the people to the system - but doesn't justify anything. In fact, people are damn right to blame Japanese for all their crazy bullshit because after all, systems are created and maintained by their participants themselves, a country is shaped by its citizens - and Japan has proven to be not capable of changing any of those flaws. At that point, Japanese studies really end up in a spiral of cynism, cynism like I had felt from the lecturer in my first class of Japanese history or just recently, from a guest speaker from the DIJ. Is that really what studies are supposed to result in? Despair and frustration about your own subject?
