Mokou has some unnaturally high defenses in her growth. When Alice needs a shield and covers allies, Mokou can just take it to the face (but can't quite cover).
Mokou's damage is in her bombs, and keep in mind... Her attacks are physical! It uses her PATK and enemies' PDEF for calculation! This is quite rare and allows you to completely wreck some enemies as elemental damage is expected to be magical.

Remember, you can view defeated enemies in your bestiary, and see their defenses!
PDEF, MDEF, and element modifiers!
You can clear most of the game without actually concerning yourself with the shop, relying only on dungeon finds, you gotta hit enemies where they're weak. After you have enough health to survive the strongest blows, strategy comes first.

Celestial peaches are alright, I wouldn't put too much effort into it however, just make sure you find the treasure chests.

I swear you can do the first half of the game without crafting anything, and just relying on treasure chest loot. They're really good.

Did you know Yuyuko doesn't cast it when you kill her first?

Does anyone have a list of what IND actually does in addition to landing debuffs.
Here's what I know so far:
Increases chance to add attacks in multiple attack moves (killing doll, rage eight)
Increases buff potency (caps at 100IND, supposedly)
Various spells that rely on IND to do increased damage. (1million volts, Aging Drizzle, Poison variants)

What a mysterious stat.

Why on earth does it do so much damage, Yuyuko isn't particularly deathly weak to fire, there's no slayer bonus.
