Imagine catching one of Alice's puppet shows, you were really impressed so you leave her a tip after the show. She's embarrassed and all, so she initially refuses until you practically push the coin into her hands.

This becomes a normal thing if you catch one of her shows, nobody else tips that you see but its okay since you are grateful for everything. One day you give her a coin again and she's much more accepting now, simply taking it as easy as you'd give a greeting.

Unfortunately, you drop the coin as you hand it too her. You try to catch it midair only for the coin to jump up in front of her face. You barely catch it the second time, you feel like a fool for looking like a dork in front of the pretty puppeteer.

As you mutter an apology on instinct you try reading the expression on her face only to find it... blank? She doesn't seem to respond until you ask her if she's okay, which she replies in a monotone voice that she 'is fine'

You aren't sure what's going on, and worried you ask her if you made her mad to which she replies, 'no you haven't, I enjoy our brief conversations' While that did make you a bit happy and it isn't like Alice to lie you're still worried.

You gingerly push the coin into her hand and tell her that if she isn't mad than to please go back to normal. Like a switch being flipped a light seems to spark in her eyes and she moves her head back slightly as if jumpscared but trying not to show it.

She seems about as confused as you are but pushes it down, instead she quickly gets her bearings and simply mutters out a thanks before she takes her little stage and dolls as they hover behind her. You hope you didn't somehow upset her...
