>She just tried to challenge her fate by playing according to Kinzo's rules. That's different.
She shouldn't have played by his rules. Rules are limiting and the world is vast.

>It's not easy to cut ties with your family.
It is. My mother stopped talking to her sister for almost ten years after she made a comment about me when I was a kid. Family is important but happiness is even more importance. Eva put herself into a life of worthless misery for nothing.

>second, it would've meant having no resources at all. And while not being a spoiled girl, I don't think Eva could've managed to live with part-time jobs.
Sure she could. I hate pessimistic people who are anti individualism who go all self defeating on how Eva couldn't have worked part time jobs while going to school or whatever. Even though people with much lesser intelligence have done the same and more

>In Japan, that would've made her an unmarriable outcast.
If Eva's goal would've been to surpass Kinzo and Krauss, marriage wouldn't have been a concern. Unless she married into money, of course.

>Eva's actions cannot be judged by your standards because she's not you.
I am only judging her by my strong individual standard which I saw in Eva when she was dismissed a future
>yeah I'm smart and I hope for a good education
>lol no, you belong to a collectivist group called women, and they're inferior to this collectivist group called men, so I'm going to stop you, as an individual, to obtain happiness
>welp, might as well accept my fate as a house wife and hope I end up on top and do absolutely nothing with my life
The fact that Eva wasted her life is what endlessly pisses me off. Collectivism in general boils my blood.
Look at Battler, he threw his family name and was happy. Eva could've done the same.

>you're being too edgy here.
I misspoke. Nearly every individual person is an idiot, but it's just a matter of opinion on how much. I don't mean to say that we're all idiots on the same level, but that we're all human and make ridiculously stupid mistakes, even smart people that it can be seen that we're all idiots.
What cemented this opinion is when I found out as a kid that Einstein wasted more than half his life trying to disprove that god doesn't play with dice and came up with nothing to show for it. A complete waste of his intelligence! He was supposed to be humanity's epitome of genius. And he was an idiot. But he's still a genius, so, depending on the opinion, he was only a different scale of idiot compared to an idiot who wasted his life. The entire history of science is filled with people with worthless grudges to the point of absolute absurdity. Men who want to find the truth, scorning others pointlessly just to feel superior.

Hence, everyone is an idiot, it's just a matter of opinion on how much.

Do you understand?
