To prevent the triggering of certain sensitive anons and to better the Babymetal generals, I will henceforth be posting under a uniquely different name - but always a pun on Moa's name and a metal band/album/song

I could see them playing on TV, probably not SNL or anything likely more Conan, but they're not going to be playing at the grammies or selling out stadiums in murrca unless they single-handedly bring back nu-metal, which wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

In 2015, however, rock is dead.

>a bit wtfjapan meme

That sort of of IS how they started off but as I've said a thousand times before, thank Allah that Koba had the good sense to ditch the babybones for the world tour and actually get them a full time band. Kvlt metalhead hipsters like to try to complain about them being a fake metal band, and that was technically true for all of their existence, they would playback tracks and have dudes in costumes dance around with guitars that aren't hooked up to anyone and have someone else "play" drums with rubber sticks.

Luckily now the band is as important as the girls themselves and it'll be what keeps them moving forward rather than stagnating and memeing out

>Koba always seeks outside help to make new songs(Kimi To Anime Gi Mitai anyone?)

That wasn't much of a new song, just a vocal cover.

But yeah ultimately it does end up being the "Kobametal + friends" project in terms of creative direction. His love of metal shows even in the most pop-influenced songs but I hope they always keep a balance rather than trying to go full metal.

Chocolate isn't salty, why would I want to eat a chocolate-covered pretzel?

Because you get the best aspects of both genres. Metal vocals are typically either "scream as loud as you can" or "gurgle like Cookie Monster choking on a dick", and neither are really pleasing or really complex from a musical point of view. Pop music, on the other hand, is the most bland and "safe" thing ever, it has no real power to it.

Her Kanji name 菊地最愛 translate to "Kikuchi Beloved" through google translate.

While being 100% totally true it's probably just the translator being bad.
