The fandom has come to a consensus that pachi is morbidly obese for some reason. Personally I prefer the idea of her being slightly anorexic and emaciated. It fits the idea of a sickly girl who couldn't play with the other kids and instead got lost in her books, only to go too far and turn into a witch. Or maybe just someone who gets so absorbed in their work that they forget to eat.
