Of course, not everyone who is a fan of S/mileage thinks of them that way, I don't either (and it's probably healthy that we don't). However, it's hard to see why the management would make them wear those skirts if not for sex appeal, and the girls being cute, young and innocent attracts a certain audience... this includes boys who see them as ideal girlfriends, teenage girls who aspire to be cute like they are, but also lolicon/pedos/ephebophiles to whom the cuteness is a part of their sexual fetish.

Anyway, let's not continue the offtopic too much.
