Mind if I use your thread for a little experiment guys?

Constant riots and looting have turned your city into a very dangerous place to live in. The violence has been spiraling out of control during the past couple weeks, keeping you awake at night. Most emergency services have been shut down. Your neighbors already packed and left their home a few weeks ago, advising you to do the same before getting in their car. You've been able to hear nearby gunfire during the last few nights, and believe that the roaming gangs will probably attack your neighborhood soon. The TV burned images of bloodthirsty militias armed with machetes into your mind, and you haven't been able to stop thinking about your little sister who lives with you, but you haven't been able to get in touch with your parents even though they should have returned from their business trip several weeks ago. The house has too many windows and it's not really defensible, but trying to travel through barricades set up by criminals while carrying a innocent little girl might not be a good idea either.

What do you do?
