You have probably already noticed, but there are almost no VN posters on /jp/, despite the fact that this is where VNs are technically supposed to be discussed.

You're part of the problem then. /v/ has been an offensively bad board since its inception and that hasn't changed much over the years, but you're looking at it from a completely dumb angle and that speaks volumes of your own obvious newfaggotry; that board's abysmal posting quality isn't due to its residents' habits of being pedantic and opinionated twats so much as it the fact that they're mostly intruders that know next to nothing of proper posting etiquette in an anonymous image board. Due to the board's thematic being a relatively popular and mainstream hobby, it has this effect of attracting normalfags by the droves that forcefully settle in with their cross-websiting garbage and cancer, and that's how cancerous terms like "cringe", "Xpill", "cuck" and all the variations in between came to metastasize all across the website.
Loud idiots with stinky opinions have been a staple of 4chan culture since time immemorial and that's all fun and games really, but the real problem are the undesirables and human detritus over there and at /pol/ that think it's okay to shoehorn in identity politics and vapid buzzwords everywhere, those idiots and their sorry excuses for jokes and "memes" are why they have gotten such a bad reputation among the more well-adjusted boards like /a/ and a filtered /jp/.
