It's one of those ideas that sound great in theory but are a fucking ballache to execute correctly and almost always goes wrong.
Firstly, we'd have to assume the people involved aren't merely losers trying to get a leg into an industry in which they can subsequently abuse any power they are given.
You'd have to establish from the start exactly what it is that you want to gain from such a project. You need buy in from the guest(s), their managers and their agencies, otherwise you'll get no interviews and the ones you do get will be shit.
You'd have to sell something fairly unique as to show off their personality/assets whilst attracting the right kind of viewership.
The biggest obstacle in my opinion is making the content for both Western and Japanese audiences; the only content that I'd imagine does well for both demographics would be the cultural exchange type videos.
I'm not trying to persuade or dissuade you, either way, I don't particularly care. It just seems like something that is doomed to fail if it isn't almost perfect from it's inception.
