Just noticed that I already followed him on twitter and pixiv, seems like my birdbrain just can't handle twitter's stupid layout.

A bit of a unrelated technical question, but ever since Niconico switched to...I don't know exactly what it is, but I think videos are now streamed in chunks instead of one big mp4 file, anyone else getting absurd processor spikes when watching videos? Not on every video, but sometimes the processor usage just shoots up straight to 95%-100% and it slows everything to a crawl til I pause the video and then it dies down, only to spike again when I resume. Disabling comments doesn't seem to work either, and it happens only on Niconico, other video streaming sites don't trigger this.

And it's weird too, like the moment I resume I can see the usage spike up tremendously, yet it only happens on certain videos, so not all videos I watch get this problem. I'm forced to watch like less than 30 secs, then pause it, wait for the spike to die down, watch again, pause, etc.
Just something I noticed, wonder if it's me or their poor optimization
