I tread really lightly when lurking between here and /a/, and I'm only vaguely aware about the discussion surrounding the virus/syndrome's relevancy or somethin like that.
I'll say this: before Minagoroshi, I was hoping Rika was the one pulling all (most of) the strings because of her appearance and death in Meakashi, but like I said I was definitely underwhelmed with the Tokyo scandal and all that political mumbo jumbo. Did they ever address how Keiichi was able to kill like 4-5 people solely through his own unconscious will in Tatarigoroshi? That's another thing I was really hoping would come back into play.
