So, do japanese students have to wash their uniforms daily? I assume that most students only have one set since uniforms are rather pricey over there, so I was just wondering about how they maintain them.

Why does Japan make some awesome tomboy / strong female characters and then immediately go through the process of "fixing" them, either canonically or via 90% of related doujins?

It seems that when presented with a boyish girl the Japanese have to make her into a "real woman", force her into skirts and make her do "girly" things. I'm just trying to understand how they can make these characters in the first place with an attitude like that.
