The difference is that the infected appendix that is /r9pol/ and the shitposting it leaks into the rest of 4chan takes itself *almost* completely seriously. A lot of people on both boards literally believe that they are the vanguard of some revolutionary movement and that they can sway national elections and save muh white race through meme magic and doxxing.

It used to be spammed here a lot more, but I think pic related is incredibly relevant for what's left of chan culture in 2017. People eventually took all of the "IT'S HAPPENING" posts seriously and then we got invaded by edgy teenagers.

I honestly think 4chan would be a better place if /pol/, /r9k/, /news/, /bant/ and /int/ were deleted and a blanket ban on politics was brutally enforced. Political shitposting is the worst kind of shitposting, since it incentivizes people to annoy others as efficiently as possible and spam propaganda images without any thought or originality put into the content.

I see it as a ban warning and try to listen to the jans when they're sensible and don't pick sides.
On some other boards I've seen jans fall for /pol/ because there's more /pol/ and so the anti-/pol/ posts get reported by more people so the jans delete/ban posts one-sidedly, but this jan seems very competent so I would like to cooperate with her/him and stop posting.

I hope the /pol/ side also stops posting like I will. I only post when they post in first place. They're always the first to appear and when they're left uncorrected then pic related happens and they only grow in numbers.
