Cirno 11

--

Sanae, having prepared dinner for many years in a household where she was the only one who could cook quickly and quietly, made and served the goddess and goddess-to-bo. before quickly retreating from the terror radius of smug bullying energy the two shorties emitted.

Cirno had only noticed now, but while the building’s outside was more Gensokyo~ish, the inside was closer to Marisa's or Alice’s house, even a little bit like the scarlet mansion with all the idols everywhere in place of the SDM's crosses.

“Look, relationships between humans, and us, gods, as well as youkai are…” SUwako trailed off as she tried to collect her thoughts.

“That’s why I joined Okina, even if I can’t play a pivotal role. I want to be able to help the people I care about.” “At the very least, I want to say goodbye.” Cirno thought of the dead turtle she had found on the shore of the pond behind the Hakurei Shrine.

Suwako sighed, it’d be trouble in the future, but. “At least you aren’t in love with either of them.” Suwako went to her sake cup

“Oh! Like Hana and Aunn?”

Suako coughed on her sake, “Wait, wait, wait, Hana. Hana Hakurei. The same Hana Hakurei who’ll rant endlessly about how much she hates youkai and fairies.” That was an extremely awkward meeting, Suwako was half tempted to reveal her own origins, but the girl was under a lot of stress so she gave her mercy. For now, that is.

Cirno just tilted her head. “Hana hates fairies?” She sounded betrayed and confused, although she had barely even known the girl.

Suwako couldn’t stop laughing, she kicked her short feet under the table as she tried and failed to contain herself, nearly falling out of the chair. With Cirno sitting across from her, looking offended.

---

After what felt like several minutes, she managed to calm herself, putting on a straight face. She had almost forgotten about Akyuu’s books of slanderous lies, if she ever had a child in this age those were some of the books she was sure to keep from them.

“Ahhh~ But seriously Cirno, those types of relationships can be dangerous for us, even living gods like Sanae can be careful, it’s due to the nature of humans,” Suwako said with resignation in her voice. “Even Kanako is still like that, after all these years she’s still human-like. But that’s what makes them so strong and allowed her to defeat me in the first place.”

“But she didn’t subjugate you like you did to the Mishaguji?” Cirno asked, she’d known that Okina did something similar to her, and probably those two weird humans whose names she didn't remember as well. But it didn’t really make sense to Cirno, it’s not like Suwako was part of Kanako.

"That's different, Kanako never fully defeated me, she didn't want to subjugate me anyways, then she'd be the one dealing with the Mishaguji," Suwako said twirling her fork in the air. "Subjugation is a by-product of faith anyways, we can put parts of ourselves in others to empower and control them, fully merge with gods like Onika did, even living gods like Sanae back in the day drew power from me.” Suwako finished off as she stabbed a carrot with her fork.

“Well just so you know, I’ll subjugate my first god in no time!”Cirno said, stabbing a fork into the air. “Or maybe when I’m bigger I can get Dai-chan and the others as my servants.” Cirno's smile grew wider, she was a bit worried about leaving them behind, she hadn’t had the chance to spend much time with them lately. QUiet her voice to a whisper and leaning in she said, “But I didn’t know Sanae was like that”

“No, ugh.” Suwako swallowed a carrot a bit too fast in an effort to respond. ‘Why do humans always have to be named after each other’, she’d have to clarify or maybe just refer to them with different names “Sanae Moriya, The first Sanae, my son, although we’ve been confused in myth. Well both of them did it while they were little and didn’t have any faith of their own.” She said waving a hand in the air as if to dismiss the topic, this was going to get too confusing fast and she doubted Cirno would be able to follow the entire thing.

A devious smile crossed the froggy goddess's face as she placed her utensils down and slid her chair away from the table. “But, let's go outside, it’s time for your practical exam Cirno.” Cirno smiled in response, unaware of Suwako’s full might.

I think I write Cirno a bit shounen-protagonisty. Loves fighting, and friendship, and has introspective moments that give way to their normal levels of ‘tism, hidden potential, and weird origins.
Probably only 2 or so more chapters of Suwa Cirno
