That said, the whole no romance bit among a group of teenager boys and girls is just silly and cripples their interactions. Even after Reiwa when R07 writes the club he leans heavily on their crushes.

The Sotsu audio drama, Mehagashi and the Lambda side-story in Mei all had that as a big part of their interactions. Trying to keep everything clean and the constant "no interest!" just makes these kids sound fake.
