I don't entirely like Ciconia and thought it was dull at times, but I'm still optimistic for the next phase since it ended on a really strong note. It had way too many characters to flesh out but I thought their interactions towards the end when shit was hitting the fan and the entire world was on fire from space debris and earthquakes and pollution and rogue drones gunning down billions really enjoyable.

Like when you have the poorer characters refuse to take part in the Public Bath Oath because they grew up in places that were poor and had to constantly smell of piss and being a Gauntlet Knight brought them prosperity, or when you had idealistic characters propose stupid shit like all of the Gaunlet Knights launching a coup and overthrowing the government but being met with the reality that just toppling a leader means nothing since they'd face problems with running a government and actually supplying the Gauntlet arms. The children characters feel realistic and all of their plans fuck up but not because they're retarded or anything, but because they're forced to face the reality that they're small cogs in a larger plan entirely out of their comprehension. The characters actually felt nuanced and human for a moment.
