Well, depends on the master. Like some Master's styles wouldn't fit a Saber class Servant. Not to mention most Saber class Servants would have honor shoved half way up their ass considering.

Yeah, it's nice to have a well balanced Servant, but not if they're not willing to do a lot due to honor.

Now, Archers on the other hand generally have multiple NPs and Independent Action. Now I can see why Independent Action can make some Masters leery. After all, if you die that Archer has a few days in some cases he can stick around before he has to find a new Master.

Lancers are quicker than Sabers, and even though they're not as balanced they're damned awesome. (And in a fight, I'd give it to Cu Culihian before King Arthur, seriously. Read their legends. Cu is MUCH more bad assed.)

And honestly, I wouldn't want a Saber who's good at only one type of range of combat. I'd take a Lancer or Archer any day. They'd be more versatile than "ARRGGG WITH MAH SWORD!"

The manga artist does have a LOT of problems. The manga is fucking special at times with Man Faced Rin and Saber, inbred English Forehead Rider at one point . . . Hell, they fucking make Archer and Lancer both ugly. Neither of them should be ugly. How the FUCK do you make Lancer ugly?

And Issei would be the little bitch, not Archer. (Besides, we already know that Issei's gay.)
