I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as computer, is in fact, Shikigami/Onmyōji, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Onmyōji plus Shikigami. Shikigami is not an youkai unto itself, but rather another magical component of a fully functioning Onmyōji entity made useful by the Onmyōji corelibs, spell card utilities and vital magic components comprising a full youkai as defined by Zun.

Many youkai run a modified version of the Shikigami/Onmyōji system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Onmyōji which is widely used today is often called “Shikigami”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Onmyōji system, developed by the Touhou Project. There really is a "Shikigami", and these youkai are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use..
