The increase in oxytocin levels in Junko (through feeding and such) would facilitate maternal behavior in her that would encourage the development of an exclusive relationship between her and Reisen (baths etc). This would then leed to a feedback loop as there is a positive correlation between increased maternal engagement and higher oxytocin levels within the child, further developing a stronger bond and impacting the child's social development. A study on rats has also shown that oxytocin levels may impact the young's desire to seek contact with their caregiver. In addition to that, a similar result has been observed in 3-6 month old human infants where higher oxytocin levels in infants make them seek more parental social interactions and show greater attachment behavior than those with lower oxytocin levels. In other words, we can assume that a strong enough bond between Junko and Reisen should develop over time so as to make that fear irrelevant.
