/jp/, what VN do you think has the best writing? By that I mean prose, not the storyline (though a decent storyline is necessary too). Yeah yeah, I know most of us are playing fan translations of Japanese texts--but some VNs just seemed to stand out as having outstandingly good prose, sentence structure, stream-of-consciousness dialogues that say more than "Akiha-sama sure looked pretty last night.", etc. I think Sharin no Kuni is one of the most well-written VNs ever, particularly due to all the wit that is weaved into the personality of Kenichi.

And yes, I know it is a translation I'm reading--but even so, one can tell that another VN was written much better than another one.

I finally slowfagged my way to the end of Umineko 6 and I'm now officially bored.

I downloaded Sharin no Kuni on a whim months ago since I saw that it was released and that it was somewhat hyped to be good. Now, months later..is it worth my time to read it or am I just gonna waste away 30+ hours of reading for nothing? I already did that with Clannad before I got too bored with it.

I hate to ask /jp/ since I know damn well this will be an >opinions and sage, hidden, reported thread but I figure I might as well ask while attempting to keep it civil.

Just got past the cave scene with Sachi. So how tragic should I expect this to be? The only other vn's I've played so far are Tsukihime, F/SN and Brass restoration.

Recommendation for a VN as good as Sharin no Kuni or Tsukihime?
