It doesn't affect their classes, but is a huge strain. They have training and events pretty much every day and they have to do their home work and learning inbetween. Japanese school also relies somewhat more heavily on rote memorization and home preparation than western school. I don't know where they find the energy to keep up with everything.

Sakura Gakuin is an idol group.
It's a commercial organization that scouts girls, hires them and trains them in singing, dancing and being entertaining in general. They then do public performances and might appear in radio and TV programs as guests.
BABYMETAL is one subunit of the group Sakura Gakuin. There are others, all after school activity themed, because the group's shtick is that they're a school. BABYMETAL was the heavy music club.
Suu already graduated from Sakura Gakuin (she got too old), which normally would have meant the end for BM, but because of its popularity, they continued it. Moa and Yui will graduate soon too; we'll see how they handle it then.

Moa and Yui still partake in general Sakura Gakuin activities and are members of the cooking club sub-unit, which is where their school uniform and cooking pictures come from.

She can sing pretty well for a junior group(not near the level of Suu though), but she lacks presence and that sheepish smile is what you see on her face most of the time. Just compare her expression versus Yui and Moa's.
