"I don't like this." Reimu announced. I wasn't completely convinced about it, but I supposed that it was inevitable. If there was one thing I'd picked up on about Shameimaru, it was that she'd not want to give up a story like this. And honestly, I wasn't entirely against the idea. I was probably against a lot of stuff being laid out, but it was hopefully something that could be approached carefully. Things could probably be omitted. Finally, I said to Reimu that Shameimaru would probably publish articles on it anyway, but at least this way, we would get a chance to see what they would be like beforehand, and keep the more personal details from being made public. "I guess, but..."

"Reimu, this isn't blackmail. If you don't want to, you don't have to. He did promise me an interview, but we could always go back to the original plan of just reporting on the Eientei Investigation." She thought for a moment. "He is right, though. I'll publish articles about the wedding regardless. And probably more on whatever else I hear about. Wouldn't you rather control the narrative?" I thought that I saw her eyes flash as she said that, but dismissed it as a trick of the light. Maybe it was just a youkai thing. "You're always complaining about what I write. Here's your chance to make it something you want." I got the feeling that Shameimaru was angling for something here. She wanted Reimu to agree more than she wanted me to agree, though I supposed that I had more or less agreed already. Maybe it was just about getting in with the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, just a little bit more.

Reimu was silent for a few moments. "Fine." She eventually said. "But you'll have to get Yamame's approval, too. In person. And she has to be included in your meetings. Don't look at me like that. She's his future wife. Your special edition is going to be just as much her story as it is his." That brought Shameimaru up short, because she looked like she'd assumed that it would all be smooth sailing once Reimu agreed, and here she was throwing a spanner in the works. Now, Shameimaru had to meet Yamame, which meant that she had to either come to Yamame's house, or Yamame had to come to somewhere that the two could meet on the surface, and given Yamame's refusal to even come to the Shrine today...Well, Shameimaru's job seemed to have gotten just a little more complicated.

Plus, she was just about aggravating enough that Yamame might give her another illness.
