That scene seems to be a parallel to the one where Satoko consoles Sakiko in Oniokoshi, but in Hoshi it's Kisaku the one telling her the stuff about how she's a member of the Kimiyoshi and everything will be fine.

I think this works better, although on the other hand, in this version of the scene, Satoko just hears Sakiko talking about the situation and doesn't really say anything. Then Kisaku starts talking and ends promising he will drive off Polaris from Hinamizawa.

Then Kihiro and Tamaki arrive and there's the part about Sakiko going to the festival.
