Shion is creepy. Identical twins are creepy. It's like having a doppelganger. Isn't Mion creeped out by the fact that this other person has her exact same face and body, down to the wrinkles in her asshole? If Shion gets a boyfriend, it's like that dude is also seeing Mion naked.

No wonder Shion went totally insane at the end of Meakashi. She couldn't even look at herself in a mirror without seeing the ghost of her sister staring back at her with cat eyes.

I love Higurashi and I have fond memories of reading the manga before it was animated, but everything that wasn't a direct continuation or alternate telling of it horrified me.

I don't know who to blame, r07's Japanese fanbase, him or me for any expectations after that.

Am I supposed to take Rose Gun Days serious?
