In short, I trust her judgment since she chose the timing of the grad herself. As for the timing of the announcement...personally, I'm okay with it cause it gives me plenty of time to plan and save for when I head back to Japan, but I'll admit it is a little soon after 3nin grad and new members were added.
I'm handling the announcement surprisingly well, although I suppose that has a lot to do with the fact that I'm confident I'll be able to make it to the grad concert and should be able to pull off enough time in Tokyo to talk to her at some kind of event at least once more. Though it does hurt a little looking at pictures of her with the knowledge that soon she'll no longer be a part of Morning Musume...

And I wouldn't consider myself a "long-time Aichan wota". Our Mexican friend would better fit that description, honestly.
