Well, suit yourselves, fellas but allow me to make a few counterpoints:
1. Part of what you're describing honestly applies to most generals. That's just in their nature standing in contrast with "normal" threads that are more emergent but also more transient. Even generals dedicated to TV shows with a brand new episode every day will inevitably accumulate its own culture and body of repeated in-jokes, references, distinct regulars, perhaps even a kind of "mythos" if you will. I know a lot of 4chinz purists have disdain for generals in the first place since their nature as a kind of self-contained community and microcosm runs contrary to the overall 4chan direction which is valid but sirs should manage their expectations when entering one and expecting anything vastly different or innovative
2. You may accuse me of cherry-picking or that exception proves the rule but honestly, I see a lot of interesting conversation and discussion all the time, whether it's on shifting trends, autistically scrutinising miscellaneous minutiae, or just sharing how we personally engage with JAV. We're barely into this new thread and there are already many examples; they're interesting enough to the point where I'm going to take some time to think about it before actually replying to them and hopefully contributing to quality ongoing discussion. There's also minimal image dumping which I perceive as a huge plus. It's possible that either the topics that these threads sometimes gravitate towards (I have no delusions about this) and/or the manner in which they are discussed don't appeal to you which would understandably restrict your overall enjoyment of these threads. For me and likely many others, there's already adequate variety and quality
3. The circlejerk and echo chamber criticisms have often been parroted by jaded regulars and tourists alike but I think it's overexaggerated. Just because there isn't overt vitriol and shit-flinging perhaps more commonly seen on other boards doesn't automatically equate to those two aforementioned labels. I see plenty of healthy disagreement and debate all the while without individuals feeling a desperate need to change others' minds. If simply seeing people earnestly being happy and enthusiastic about common interests already makes you think circle jerk + echo chamber then that's a real shame

Honestly seems like hyperfixation on a few eggs talking about inceldom from both sides: the guy(s) talking about paypigs and being too good for women in this line of work being painted as a socially maladjusted incel, and those defending JAV in whatever sense also being painted as incels but of the white knight variety. Neither party is absolutely right or wrong; the real answer, as always, is too nuanced to be reduced into binary opposites
