Kind of. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, the power of the AI models still isn't where it used to be, but it's serviceable if you put in a bit of effort and are an adequate writer. Most of the startups that came out right after AI Dungeon bit the big one died off, but Novel AI is still going strong and is considered by most to be the best choice. Kobold, as mentioned, is free but with no support structure to generate your outputs you either need to have a beefy card on your computer to run it or grovel at Google's feet to use their colab servers. A relatively new competitor called Sudowrite came out and it has access to AI Dungeon's old power, but it's monstrously expensive ($100 dollars a month for its highest tier) and limits how much you can write.
All in all, as someone who like writing as a hobby beforehand and who writes more than just monstergirl smut, I think Novel AI is worth it and I pay their $25 subscription, but their $15 tier is perfectly fine too. I canceled most of my TV subscription services earlier since I was never using them, but I never get tired of fluffing new Kitsune tails or writing sci-fi adventures or whatever the fuck used to just be relegated to my autistic fantasies. I'd definitely say at least try their trial to see if it's something you'd enjoy.
