Finished 少女と年の差、ふたまわり。

As >>18543364 already mentioned it's the type of eroge where you get exactly what the title says with relatively little drama or comedy for that matter; nothing more or less, meaning how well the premise and Mizuka herself end up being to your liking decides whether you find the game worthwhile or not. It's no Damekoi for sure, not that I was expecting it to be.

I think the game could've given a bit more screentime to main heroine's hostess mom Rin, and I found it kind of weird that the game gave her flashbacks but not to even younger Mizuka despite the protagonist also knowing the latter since she was a baby. The taboo aspect of the relationship is also *mostly* handled internally as you'd expect out of a pure love game, as in the protagonist himself thinking he's doing something wrong and considers chickening out, rather than some kind of "you and me against the world" kind of thing or something else.

As for the game's other main shtick of both the protagonist and Mizuka being loners at heart, I think the game could've emphasized that part of their personalities more even if it would've resulted in more brooding, reserved or even angsty characters, if nothing else than to make Mizuka stand out more as a heroine. The night light thing was cute but I kind of wanted something more. Then again it could just be my bias talking since after Lovely x Cation's Aya and protagonist both being turbo-loner gamers nothing has quite yet managed to scratch that itch again.

I also like my SoL but that could've used more variety here as well: the vast majority of the game consists of cooking and housework, bath, sleepover, picking up Mizuka with car (and like someone on EGS complained it's kind of weird it doesn't get a CG considering how often it happens) and later ichaicha at the protagonist's apartment with the more unique dates or other events feeling few and far in between. Being relatively short definitely worked in the game's favor.
