/jp/ - Otaku Culture

I've always hated these threads /jp/, I'm sorry - I rarely like the artwork or appreciate the criticism... maybe I'm simply jealous of your sincere attempts at creation? Maybe it's the fact that I'm seeing the ability to create something seemingly professional, yet the inability to ever turn it into anything that "matters" professionally (doujins, video games, etc.)

In the end, it probably comes down to envy; it might be the result of my own frustration and feelings of inadequacy toward my own creations. How should I respond to these emotions in a way that contributes toward my own growth as a creator instead of a habitual naysayer?
