Daily reminder to not neglect pitch accent

Japanese cringe when they hear other Japanese people pronounce words with the wrong pitch accent, and the same is true when they are listening to gaijin. It's ridiculous to say they "won't notice", when pitch can entirely change the meaning of words lol. Just because they can use context to grasp what word you meant to say, doesn't mean it doesn't take more effort for them to understand what you're saying. Japanese people would most definitely prefer to listen to someone with correct pitch accent than someone with incorrect pitch accent, assuming that all else is equal.
