Anyways, I consider FF4, FF5, and FF6 to be of equal quality; however, each of the games excelled at different aspects. They are all simply very well-crafted games; age has nothing to do with it. I'd have to question (insult) your taste if you say otherwise.

My personal favorite is FF6, though, due to the soundtrack. I still think Nobou was on some sort of super drug when he composed the amazingly complex 10+ minute long opera and final battle themes. That bastard was on fire. No other game OST has come close to the brilliance of FF6.
