Sadly for Duke Anon he became a noble and was granted land on the border of the human kingdom, mostly to keep him away from throne politics since most considered him an upstart that'd get invaded by the p'orc tribes, or the Harpy marauders, or the Grizzly bandits and tossed out of the way quick.
Unfortunately for him he persisted and managed alliances as well saw to the defense of his realm very well. Even founding several settlements with mixed mamono and human population.

Now that he's brought peace and has a high level of peerage second only to the king himself he's been getting wives from the many MANY cheifs of the various beast tribes who respect his strength, actual princesses from the bordering mamono realms who both want a kind and wise husband for their daughters (not to mention political ties), the daughter of the local witch coven he rescued from a series of unfair demon contracts he had to find loopholes in to absolve them of, and even a dryad princess from the forest on the edge of his land he stopped the rampant deforestation in as well as curing a dastardly plauge that was destroying the dyrad's life trees.

Unfortunately for anon he didn't foresee that now all's said and done he'd be getting pushy Mamono brides who he can't send back or as they already consider the girls married to him and refusing any could spark a huge incident.
