In Saikoroshi-hen, Rika feels bad for the original girl. The only thing she can do to apologize to her is stop calling herself "Rika".

I think we should do as she wants and call her Frederica Bernkastel or some other nickname. "Bern" is already picked by that troll witch, though, so that one wouldn't work.

Rika could be a very interesting character if we tried to think about her personality, relationship with her parents and her friends, etc. but people often ignore her as the shallow plot device she is.

Also, it could be useful to differentiate between obnoxious animefags and people who can actually talk about Higurashi.

I've seen some pretty good fanfics featuring KINZO'S UNNAMED WIFE, but I've never seen one about the original Rika. How sad is that?

Rika is too wonderful not to love.

I think I do love Rika. Just thinking of her makes me feel happy.
