Well since I have sleep paralysis I can somewhat manage to get a lucid dream but basically you need :
>Be tired.
>Sleep on your back.
>Focus on breathing to stay awake and let your breathing pass to "automatic" mode you'll know what I mean by that after you try.
>Don't ever move.
>Also have a dream diary where you write your dreams when you wake up.
That's the technique I use but you have different methods.
You can get more info on /x/ there is threads there about lucid dreams from time to time.
