But you've watched anime before, right? Then might want to start with something you're familiar like prolly Index, Spice and Wolf, Toradora, and Dendro. If not, if you've only ever read western "Ackshual Literature," TRPG and Saihate no Paladin should fit your palate since they're written like an oldskool western fantasy novel.
Boogiepop is a good mystery and can be considered one of the best during it's initial publication. But there's a bunch of more interesting mystery LNs to read now like Yurisekai Picnic, Utsuru Hako, In/Spectre, and Monogatari. Haven't read Vampire Hunter though, so I can't give my opinion.
