The Red Shadow/counter guardian seems like an important enough thing to cover.
It has a female voice so it could be Aoko after messing around with Magic too much, the "me" created at the very start of the game when Grandpa tries to revive the cats or something along those lines.
They also mention early on into the story that Alice and Aoko are fated to fight to the Death over something and I think it's presented as something Magic related(the Meinster's were the original owners of the First, it's also worth mentioning that lorewise witches aren't even human but fairies)
I imagine Nasu would also elaborate more on Magic and the root, and there is some unfinished business with whatever the fuck happened to Grandpa and the priest.

What did she mean by this?
