Not me. For me, knowing more about the girl is part of getting off to them, adding more value to them as fap material. Sometimes I like it when their actual life and personality (not exactly actual, being an image to maintain anyway) contrasting with what they shown on AV, but sometimes I like it when said personality matched with the one on their AV.
Like you I can't really describe it myself but one thing for sure it's not for dreaming to have relationship with them. Maybe I've watched too many JAV that a sight of sex doesn't turn me on as much anymore, I need context but then I don't like drama AV so I watched non-drama AV and made my own context about the girls performing there, I guess.
