Fucks not given. ZUN can write anything he wants, but if he sucks as an artist, there's little he can do about it in case of any of his characters. You can only compare it relative to each other if you want to get some idea of which ones would be beautiful if drawn by someone else.

His UFO and later art is still semi-decent. Sanae in particular enjoyed a rather nice redrawing in UFO... only to get that horrible TD art later. Why?

I love Sanae's official hairstyle. It's... so silly. It makes up for her lack of a hat.

Overall, I think the art was best in UFO. Hina is still the best single portrait, though.
