Where do you see touhou in the next 20 or so years /jp/?
I suspect it'll continue on about that much longer before ZUN does something drastic. But that's just me being hopeful.
How old is ZUN anyway? My question is if he'll wrap everything up soon or if he'll have one final game with an open ending leaving it up to the fandom to decide what happens next with no definite answer.

That's one thing I see, another would be him finishing up and then coming back years down the road like Akira Toriyama, sorry to be off topic, but maybe he'll come back and the games will do exponentially well because of nostalgia and the old feeling of getting a game every two years.

My final speculation would be somewhat like the first with an open ending but ZUN never stops and releases something inbetween every once in a while, maybe an updated book about the Youkai and such or maybe even posting something every once in a while about something cool he did.

Well, time will tell but I'm interested in what you all have to say on the matter.
ZUN drinks a lot and the dude who worked on MMD died from cardiac arrest or something because he smoked a lot, so if worst comes to worst, ZUN dies on the job and we don't get any more mainline games being released.
Hopefully nobody nabs the license if that ever happens.
