I see the complexity as her not having any clear MO. She hates Kaguya, but doesn't make it her life's work to torment her. She holds the desire to be a normal human again, but acknowledges that returning to normalcy is impossible. She was nobility and is now immortal, but shows no desire to use her lineage or powers for personal gain. She's a self-made outcast, isolating herself - possibly in penance for past sins, possibly to avoid unnecessary casualties, possibly because she doesn't want to think of herself as "normal" - to spend time meditating in the forest.
