Seija is not exactly the most charismatic person, shimmy is literally the only person that's fallen for her lies thus far.
Also Shimmy is anything but clever.
I honestly see no reason why people still want to force this pairing so much.
ISC has shown us that Seija is a much better character by herself and Shimmy doesn't really add anything besides toilet tier humor and her boring 1 dimensional traits.
The only reason ZUN brought her back is because he's lazy, literally no other reason.

I don't have any problem with fanon interpretations, because I'm not autistic or stupid enough to mix canon and fanon stuff. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy fan made stuff, it'd be quite stupid to do so when we're talking about a fucking doujin game like Touhou.
You should try to do the same, trust me, it'll save you a lot of unnecessary suffering and time wasting internet fights over who's right or wrong.
