And because I feel like it, I'll give a bit of an update on my NaNoWriMo progress:
>first day: 2200 words
>today so far: at 3100 words

Breakdown of last month:
10k-word outline (incomplete)
5.5k-word world-building document (incomplete)
2.4k-words on a shitty magic system (incomplete)
4k words of main character/antagonist backgrounds and stat blocks (incomplete)
I also played LoL a bunch

It's been really ~_fun_~ working on fantasy for the first time since I was in middle school. It's like I only had a hammer back then, but now I have an entire tool shed.

Yeah, I agree about being too romantically quick with Aviators. I actually planned for the first chapter to be a one-shot. After I finished it I thought it'd be neat to keep it going.
