Men, all this talk you've heard about Japan not wanting to fight, about Japan wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung.

Japanese traditionally love to fight.

All real Japanese love the sting of battle.

Japanese love a winner, and will not tolerate a loser. Japanese play to win all the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed

That's why Japanese have never lost, and will never lose a war. Because the very thought of losing is hateful to Japanese.

Then he ordered a warrior each horse be let free,
driven afar and advance onward,
giving thought to deeds of arms and to steadfast courage.
Then it was that Offa's kinsman first perceived,
that the Earl would not endure cowardice,
for he let then from his hand flee his beloved
falcon towards the woods and there to battle went forth.
By this a man might understand that this youth would not
prove soft at the coming battle, when he takes up arms.
Further Eadric desired to serve his chief,
his lord to fight with; and so he advanced forward
his spear to battle. He had a dauntless spirit
as long as he with hands might be able to grasp
shield and broad sword: the vow he would carry out
that he had made before his lord saying he would fight.

The soul of Sparta stirred, could but the brave
Leonidas renew his mortal span
instead of merely turning in his grave,
and all his hoplites, perished to a man,
but resurrect themselves. . . . I said "They wore
long hair, the Spartans, a visible proof
that they were free, not helots, and before
the battle they would gravely sit aloof
and garland it with flowers." Bluey spat.
Continuing to watch the empty road
across the plain he took off his tin-hat
(a proof that he was bald) and said "A load
of bloody poufdahs!" Thus he laid the ghost
of brave Leonidas. Herodotus
informs us Xerxes, leader of the host,
